Over 60 members have a wide variety of carving interests
including in-the-round, relief, chip, and bark carving as well as wood
burning. All skill levels, from beginner to expert, are represented in
our membership. We not only enjoy carving, but also the fun of just
getting together for an afternoon. The cost to carvers is almost free.
Instructions are provided to anyone wishing to learn to carve.
We provide tools while you learn. In the summer, our numbers are
less, but the variety and enthusiasm is still there.
Our carvers have earned
numerous ribbons, including perfect scores, and even a Best of Show at
the Harlingen Wood Carving show. Our park table has also earned the
Carving Judges Blue Ribbon and
Peoples Choice Ribbon.
All
are welcome - beginners as well as observers. Come see what we are
doing!
