If you have any version of this software on your laptop and have at least started on a Family Tree, feel free to bring it along. We will spend lots of the time looking at any problems you might have entering your data. We will also look at genealogy research in general, and the use of Ancestry.com in particular.

Paint Shop Pro Classes

Paintshop Pro is a photo editing and graphic design program. This course will focus on learning the tools, practicing hands on projects.

This class will mainly focus on building layers, learning the tools, scrapbooking pages, and digital card design. The instructors will guide you through the Paint Shop Pro program and help you download free items to use in the digital scrapbooking. Paint Shop Pro is an image editing program, where the image may be a photograph or an original graphic design.

This is an advanced session. You will be expected to know the tools and maneuver around in the program. We will be using tutorials to learn different techniques of making our own elements.


PAINTSHOP PRO Digital Darkroom

Learn how to work with your digital pictures - Instructor uses PaintShop Pro X4 by Corel,but other imaging software will also work. Bring your laptop.
The instructor will teach techniques in basic imaging editing such as red-eye removal, color, contrast, and saturation fixes. More advanced techniques will include the cloning tool, paint brushes, cut-out tools, text and adding or removing someone or something in a photo. We will work on old photo restoration. Photos can be put into the computer via CD, digital camera, or scanned.
